Abstract
Many men of letters believe that imagination is vital and the only decisive factor that gives meaning to any literary text ; thus meaning is restricted to creative imagination only . This belief , however , is no longer held since it relegates the role of reality in shaping the meaning . Indeed, human interaction that springs from the real situation is also critically vital in deciding the meaning of the text. To conclude, both imagination and reality and significant in deciding the meaning of any literary text; they are actually inseparable.
